CollageCardboard, scrap paper, and paint

Artist statement: This painting was made because it symbolizes hope. I made this by putting gesso on cardboard and the gluing scrap paper on to it to look like the sky, grass, and cliff. Next I cut out the tree and glued that on and painted a swing with a girl on it. Then I pinted the clouds, river, sun and hills.

Machine of Mind

Drawing
For this project I used charcol, colored pencils and I used a picture I found online as a basis overall.
Artist Statement: This piece I made was to show how your brain works. Just like a machine the brain has all the different parts and alone they don't work the way they are meant to. When you put all the parts together everything works perfectly and does as it is meant to do. The saying "the wheels are turning" is a perfect example of this. Without one of these parts the brain would work in a completely different way so I showed that you need all the different parts in this drawing.

Drawing
For this project I used mostly charcoal, pencil, and colored pencil fir the skin tone and lips.
Artist Statement: This drawing was to show that not everything is black and white. Sometimes there's a grey area and every once and a while you have a splash of color in your life.
